For most climbers, a climbing trip consists of traveling to one of the many amazing outdoor climbing destinations around the world.  However, for top IFSC World Cup competitors like Shauna Coxsey and Leah Crane, their 6-day a week training schedule doesn’t leave much time for outdoor trips.  So, to keep things fresh and keep the motivation high Shauna and Leah took a trip to LA leading up to the 2017 World Cup season for a training bloc.

Today, we have a video from Five Ten and made by Bearcam Media that highlights Shauna and Leah’s training, partnership, and ability to keep things light and fun even when training super hard.

“Shauna Coxsey and Leah Crane head over the pond to California for a block of training before the up and coming 2017 World Cup season. They manage to keep their intense sessions as light hearted as possible with plenty of giggling, acryoga and pancakes! Alongside this they also manage to fit in a day at Joshua Tree and 5.10 HQ to help develop the new Anasazi Pro.” – Five Ten

Both Shauna and Leah train extremely hard, albeit a bit differently.  This video gives you a glimpse of the training that goes into being a successful competition climber at the highest level.

Additionally, Shauna and Leah’s energy is infectious.  It’s hard not to be psyched to train after watching how much fun these two have doing it.  Watch the video here or click through below for the original.  Either way, prepare to be inspired!
