Have you ever trained hard, been fit and strong, had good conditions, and put the days in working your goal route only to still fall short?  We’ve all been there.  It’s part of climbing and part of the process of climbing something near your limit.  However, if you truly have set yourself up for success and are still falling short, it may not be the result of a lack of strength or endurance, but be because you need to fine tune your mental tactics.

As part of her series on working through the red pointing process, climbing trainer Alli Rainey wrote an article attempting to address the mental issues that could be holding you back on your project.  However, as Alli points out at the beginning of her article, mental tactics are not an exact science.
