Recently, we posted a video about Alex Puccio’s Road to Recovery from her ACL and MCL tears. The video gives you a behind the scenes look at Alex’s recovery process and all the hard work she put in to be able to return to climbing at the V13 level only three months after her surgery.
To follow up on that video, here’s an article from Climbing Magazine by Elliott Natz and Max Ritter that outlines Alex’s recovery process and includes advice from Alex herself on how she was able to come back from her injury still climbing at such a high level so quickly.
“With a pre-injury schedule that involved training every day for several hours, Puccio was extremely bored within a week of the injury. ‘I’m always so motivated. I would hate to have to make up a lot of work,’ she said. Soon, she was back in the gym doing core work, hangboarding, and shoulder-focused injury prevention.” – Elliott Natz and Max Ritter
