Power endurance is a fairly long section of consistently tough climbing that you could potentially fall off of at any point, or so it feels. Every move is pretty on you, and there’s not much in the way of rests. You can do every move–meaning, you have the power to do every move–it’s just a matter of whether you can do them all in a row without rest.

If you feel like you keep coming up short on the amount of power you have to finish out a sequence then some power endurance training could be just what you need.

You’ve come to the right place!

Below is a screenshot of one of the workouts from the Power Endurance Training Program that Kris Peters, one of the top climbing trainers in the US, wrote for us. This workout is a good combination of power climbing training followed by core work. You can find training videos for how to do the core exercises properly here.

Hopefully this workout gives you some direction for your next gym session and gives you a little power boost. If you like the workout and want to do the whole 6-week program, check it out here.
