We’ve all heard of 4×4’s.  However, we bet you’ve never seen them done like Adam Ondra does them in his latest Epic TV training video.

In this latest installment of the EpicTV series showcasing Adam’s training, we get to see Adam digging deep during an endurance training session.  Additionally, as with all the videos in this series, Adam explains exactly what he is doing and gives us advice about how to do this kind of workout ourselves.

This advice includes tips on amount of rest time, difficulty of problems, how to adapt the workout if you are a beginner climber, and whether or not adding weight is a good idea.  Prepare to get motivated and even slightly pumped while watching…

Adam Ondra Endurance Training Video:

Now, it’s important to note that Adam is actually doing 4x4x4’s.  However, unlike some of Adam’s other training techniques which are really only suited for advanced or elite climbers, this workout is adaptable for climbers of any ability level.  As Adam notes, newer climbers should avoid adding any weight and should opt for three boulder problems per set rather than four.

Training minutia aside, this video is certainly a good dose of motivation.  Give it a watch below and then give the workout a shot yourself!
