Greetings to you on this fine Monday! I wanted to remind you guys that I (Neely Quinn – more about me here) am going to do a podcast episode where you can get your nutrition questions answered. I’ll answer YOUR questions as a complete episode. Please, pretty please, write your questions in at the bottom of this post as a comment, and I’ll do my best to get to all of them.
Anything involving food, health, weight, performance, fueling, recovery, etc. is fair game. I’m a Nutrition Therapist (it’s my other job over at www.neelyquinn.com), and I’ve been doing this since 2007 officially. I’ve helped a lot of people, including many athletes – with the Paleo diet and otherwise – to figure out their optimal diet for weight loss and overall health. I’ve had my fair share of health struggles, too, many of which I’ve solved through food, such as:

im trying to organize a diet and workout plan to get down to a better weight by the fall. im at 160 with about 13% body fat. i live pretty paleo and have messed with high fat low carb. i usually dont have as much energy when on low carb and can really see it when pushing for higher grade climbs (v7/ mid 12). any advice? also what are your thoughts on HIIT training for climbers?

I’m signed up to do 24 hours of horseshoe hell and am interested in what types of food you’d recommend for it. On a regular climbing day I tend to eat a lot fruit, bars, and pb&j on whole grain bread. I snack through out the day, typically after each burn. By the end of a day my stomach is tired of all the carbs. Also I’m a pescatarian so beef jerky is out for me. How much carbs, protein, and electrolytes do u think I should have and what are some good snacks? Thanks.
