Sonnie Trotter is one of the world’s most accomplished climbers. He was the first Canadian to win a US National and to climb 5.14c and 5.14d. He also has the first ascent of the Cobra Crack (to date one of the hardest crack routes in the world).

Sonnie mixes it up when it comes to styles of climbing- he boulders, climbs both sport and trad, gets out on big walls and even does some occasional alpine climbing.

How does he do it?

He says to focus on your strength to weight ratio, your core, stress your fingers, climb as much as you can as often as you can, and stay psyched.
